PLaywriting
As a playwright, I have worked with theatres and theatre companies across the UK in original work, adaptation and work for young audiences.
I am the current Associate Artist at Nottingham Playhouse where I share my practice with other creatives, as well as developing my skills within the framework of the bigger organisation.
I also develop my own work through my company Fury Theatre, which I started as a place to share the stories that were most important to me and that I felt were missing from the commercial, commissioned theatre sector.

original works
Narrative plays for adult audiences, centred on the female experience have always formed the backbone of my playwriting.
I am currently developing several new plays with various companies, including my own, Fury Theatre.
With a background studying English & French Literature at the University of York, it was perhaps inevitable that I would always be drawn to the creative processes involved in adapting novels for the stage, unpicking structure and character arc.
I have worked on large and small scale adaptations of classic and contemporary novels for in-house and touring productions.
adaptation
for young audiences
I love creating work for younger audiences, finding the joy in both original stories and classic texts that we caan reinvigorate so that they speak to the young experience today.
